BATU PAHAT: Universities should not be breeding grounds to spread political ideology, says Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.

Tunku Ismail said that lately there have been efforts by certain parties to disseminate false information.

"The university is a place to gain and deliver knowledge, not a place to spread political ideologies for individual and political interests," he said in his speech at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn 19th convocation ceremony here on Saturday .

Totally agree. Don't know why it keeps being a target for politics

Setuju sangat tu tunku. Budak budak ni nak suruh belajar pun susah. Entah apa masalah

betul tu Tunku..pengaruh idealogi politik yg melampau..boleh merosakkan pemikiran pelajar..last2 belajar entah ke mane..ijazah entah ke mane..

Agreed! Why kids nowadays over sangat nak ambil tahu hal politic? Tak faham betul

Setuju sangat dengan tmj. fokus belajar dahulu, baru politik

Yes Tuanku agree with your statement ... We shouldn't spread that!

Syabas TMJ you are for all Malaysians

Kau jgn sembang dari atas la..

This is off topic but I also don't think race based club/persatuan is suitable for universities as it is a form of racism. We need to promote more multiracial activities

With all due respect, you are wrong.

What's the difference if the Uni have Major In Politics?

Memang betul pun. Tp kenapa ramai melenting. Dahlah dkt semua tempat nak disebarkan ideologi politik. Tmpt menuntut ilmu pun nak sebarkan ke? Teruk sangat dah ni

Not surprised such crap comes from him. Politics should be allowed and thrive at universities, it's racism that must be rid off.

Urgh, his mind 👊😩 I really want to step on it 😄😄😄

Dude’s obviously did not went to one

Agree 100%

Betol tu....semua tempat nak buat tempat politik, baik kat tandas awam pun buat ceramah politik 😂

For once I agree with TMJ 100%. Louder please

UM already forgot the meaning of education, disappointed with UM

betul tu Tunku..universiti tempat untuk berlajar bukannya tempat berpolitik..

Politik hanya merosakkan minda rakyat. Rakyat perlu lebih bijak supaya tidak termakan hasutan ahli politik hancing.

true AF tunku.. do it at another place.. no one gives a crap of your political belief

Of course it isn't. But when d head of a uni comes out so strongly of a politically-laces ideology, it shud ring alarm bells.

Very well said TMJ. Unfortunately to the detriment of our country 4 universities organised the Malay Dignity Congress which was attended by non other than PM Tun Dr.Mahathir and other senior Malay party leaders. They have polluted university education with political ideology.

Nor is a monarch but then....

Political mendenyeeee. This is a race issue la.

it may not be, but in other countries there is greater freedom OUTSIDE unis, and freedom of expression is ENCOURAGED and part of the fabric of society. here, angket tangan pun takut.

Ermmm... It actually is...

You have never been there.

I believe most students at uni are voters so aren't they exposed to political ideology? Soon 18 year old students, some still in upper secondary schools are going to be voters. How then?

Bercinta cintan boleh kan?🤔

Racial ideologi can ka

Is it because of Tanjung Piai by-election?

Retract police report against Wong Yan KeLETTER | Lodging a police report reflects badly on the university as it does not adhere to normal practice. Biarlah tindakannya itu direkodkan. Bukankah itu yang dia sendiri mahu? Jadi tak perlulah repot polis ditarik balik. Kuranglah perisanya. Lagi berat hukuman yang dikenakan, lagi tinggi nilai perjuangannya. Lagi gah sebagai wira. Plz don't retract for the sake of humanity. We don't need more peoples like him in Malaysia. Enough is enough!
