Former PKR vice president Chua Tian Chang says he wants the people to decide, following his expulsion from the party. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Nazir Sufari, November 5, 2022.
FORMER PKR vice president Chua Tian Chang said that he is aware his decision to stand for parliament as an independent in Batu would earn him the boot from PKR.“I think party interests have to be put aside. We are now returning the mandate to the people, let the people make the judgment,” he said after submitting his nomination in Sentul today.
Earlier in Tambun, Anwar said that Chua had been ejected from the party, in which he had been since its founding days, for standing as an independent and challenging incumbent P. Prabakaran, who is Pakatan Harapan’s choice for the seat. “We have sacked him as he had gone against party policy… for standing as an independent,” Anwar said. MORE TO COME
