PUTRAJAYA: Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia menegaskan, dakwaan menggunakan data peribadi seseorang lain untuk didaftarkan sebagai anggota pasukan itu secara automatik tanpa mendapat kebenaran individu berkenaan adalah tidak benar.
Menurut Jabatan itu, perkara berkenaan turut dinyatakan di bawah Seksyen 7 Pendaftaran sebagai anggota Rela, Akta Pasukan Sukarelawan Malaysia tahun 2012 yang menyatakan pendaftaran sebagai anggota Rela perlu memohon secara bertulis kepada Ketua Pengarah. “Rela tidak akan berkompromi terhadap mana-mana pihak atau individu yang secara sengaja memproses atau menggunakan data peribadi seseorang bagi tujuan tertentu tanpa mendapat kebenaran individu terbabit,” katanya hari ini.
Dalam pada itu, Rela berkata, pihaknya dalam usaha melaksanakan program pemutihan keanggotaan yang mana anggota tidak aktif dan telah mencapai tempoh lima tahun akan ditamatkan keanggotaannya.
