North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the student was arrested with two 19-year-old friends during"Ops Samseng Jalanan" between 5pm on Sunday and 12.01am on Monday.
"During the operation, a police team spotted the trio riding recklessly and dangerously along the BORR highway. "The suspects were seen racing with each other from the Bagan Ajam toll plaza heading towards the Northern Butterworth Container Terminal ," he said. ACP Noorzainy said the acts by the three were dangerous and could have caused road mishaps to other road users.
He said the suspects were arrested when they stopped at the slip road between Bagan Ajam rest area and a petrol station."Their actions will not only be dangerous for themselves, but for other road users too," he said, adding that stern action will be taken against those who violate the law.Article type: metered
