JOHOR BARU: Three traffic policemen from the Seri Alam district police headquarters have been arrested for allegedly extorting RM4,000 from a lorry driver.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that the trio, aged from 32 to 39, were arrested on June 4.

Comm Ayob Khan said this during a press conference held at the state police headquarters here on Sunday . Comm Ayob stressed there would be no compromise on officers or personnel involved in criminal activities. Comm Ayob said police have identified several locations around here and Batu Pahat, which were known to be favourite among mat rempit.
