SINGAPORE (Bernama): Three Malaysians have been arrested for smuggling cannabis and cigarettes into Singapore.

In a statement Friday , the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority said three blocks of cannabis were seized from an arriving Malaysia-registered car during an inspection at Tuas Checkpoint at 4.48am on Feb 19.

“Two Malaysian women aged 22 and 23 were immediately placed under arrest and the case was handed over to the Central Narcotics Bureau . In another statement, ICA said 5,220 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes were seized from an arriving Malaysia-registered lorry driven by a 27-year-old Malaysian at Woodlands Checkpoint at 4.39am on Feb 17.
