The Malaysia Nature Society Urban Community Forest offers children the chance to plant trees and learn about the forests and flora of Malaysia.

Before the kids get outside there is a short educational talk about the importance of forests and their decline due to deforestation.After the talk the children are taken outside and equipped with water bottles, gloves and spades for re-planting. It is advisable to wear waterproof or wellington boots.

Be prepared for a small stream for the kids to play in on the way back from planting the trees. It’s all part of getting back to nature and a real bonus for the kids. The most important thing is that kids can have fun while learning that with only a little effort they can make a large contribution to the forest.
