James Chin alleges that there's no political will to support such legislation in either Pakatan Harapan or Perikatan Nasional. FMTNews DewanRakyat AntiHoppingLaw ElectedRepresentatives PartyHopping

Analyst James Chin says most MPs are unlikely to support a law preventing them from changing parties.

“The majority of them still think that there are circumstances when it’s alright to jump parties,” he said. He also pointed out that some parties relied on defectors to take power, citing the example of Warisan. He noted that some states had not been able to prosecute their cases despite having enactments aimed at preventing assemblymen from changing parties.

Our politicians, BN or PH or PN or whatever r all 4 self-preservation & 4 self-serving agendas.

Well, at least limit the amount of times a person can hop, like once every 5 years. So they wont simply hop without really considering it.
