If you are a fan of Samsung smartphones, this news might catch your attention. Recently, Samsung pushed the Samsung One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S2

If you are a fan of Samsung smartphones, this news might catch your attention. Recently, Samsung pushed the Samsung One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. However, some users reported that the charging speed dropped after the update. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, many Galaxy Fold 5 users posted that the charging speed of their phones has become slow on Samsung’s official forum. Even with the original 25W charger, the charging power is only 15W, which is a 40% drop. The user also mentioned that many Galaxy S23 and Fold 5 users have encountered the same problem on social media.

In addition, the One UI 6.1 update fixes the screen burn-in issue that previously plagued some Galaxy S23 series models. It also brings several AI-assisted features, such as the ability to erase or move objects in photos and convert ordinary videos into slow-motion videos. It even features the much-anticipated “circle search” function.

Moreover, the highlight of this update is real-time translation, but this feature is only available on the Galaxy S24 series equipped with One UI 6.1. Samsung's real-time translation feature allows the words of both parties in the call to be translated in real-time. You can also choose to only listen to the translation, making the conversation more natural and smooth.

We have yet to confirm other details on this subject. Interestingly, not everyone thinks that the slow charging speed is caused by the One UI 6.1 update. When the battery level increases, you can expect a lower charging speed. Hence, the 15W charging power seen by users may be because of the battery power itself is already relatively high. So, the same can be said for battery functions in the One UI 6.1 update..
