Anwar, who is also the Port Dickson MP, said the loss by Pakatan in the Rantau by-election was a reminder to Pakatan leaders to continue to focus on the people's worries about the increasing cost of living. In thanking the grassroots machinery which campaigned for Dr Streram in the 13-day campaign, Anwar said he was quite confident that Pakatan would"rise again and gain the support of the people after this."
