While the battery life of the last few generations of Samsung’s Ultra flagships has been reasonably good, the charging speed definitely lags behind the competition when compared to Chinese smartphone makers. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip could be a reason behind Samsung’s delaying improvements in other aspects. Qualcomm has confirmed that the next generation flagship chip will be more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra already costs $1300. It could be a reason behind Samsung’s decision to push back the battery and charging improvements to the 2026 flagship.
