The update also brings Apple Music support Tesla Steam TechNave

Tesla has recently announced that a “Holiday Update” is rolling out to its cars, which most notably allows owners to play games from Steam in their Tesla vehicles. According to the company’s official Twitter account, Steam is now available on new Model S and Model X vehicles, though no specific car models were mentioned.

As reported by The Verge, the applicable cars are likely the “Plaid” version of the aforementioned models, as they are equipped with an AMD Ryzen processor and a discrete AMD RDNA 2 GPU. Previously, Tesla has already offered a bunch of games for owners to play in their cars, including Cuphead and Stardew Valley.

Now that Steam is officially on the Tesla car system, owners can expect the full gallery of Steam games to play in their cars. However, whether the games would run smoothly and are compatible with the OS is another matter altogether. The Twitter post on Tesla mentioned “thousands” of games and showed off several popular titles from the Steam Gallery inside the video, most notably Cyberpunk 2077.

Besides Steam, the Holiday Update also brings Apple Music support and several other features. These include an upgraded light show mode, Zoom calls from the cabin camera and the ability to view the inside of your Tesla car from the Tesla app while in Dog Mode or Sentry Mode.
