Menurut Menteri Pendidikan, Dr. Maszlee Malik, langkah tersebut diambil berdasarkan situasi semasa dan makluman daripada Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Negeri dan kementeriannya.
“Sehubungan itu 111 buah sekolah diarahkan tutup serta merta berkuat kuasa hari ini sehingga ke satu tarikh yang akan dimaklumkan kelak. “Sehubungan itu, semua murid, guru, kakitangan dan pekerja di semua sekolah-sekolah berkenaan tidak perlu hadir ke sekolah masing-masing sehingga situasi kembali pulih,” katanya menerusi hantaran dalam akaun Facebook rasmi miliknya sebentar tadi.
Menurut Maszlee, pihaknya memohon agar semua pihak mengambil langkah berjaga-jaga dan sentiasa peka dengan arahan pihak berkuasa dari semasa ke semasa.- UTUSAN ONLINE
