Terengganu trader claims trial over statement on coronavirus

A TRADER today pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Terengganu magistrates’ court to a charge of making a statement conducive to public mischief on the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Marzuki Abdullah, 40, is accused of making a statement that a patient with the virus was admitted to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital, with the intention of causing fear or alarm among the public.
