PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Teoh Mei Xing believes she and Anna Cheong have what it takes to unseat Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah as the country’s top women’s doubles pair.

They made a swift impact by winning the Czech Open in their first tournament last October. They followed it up with a runners-up spot at the Scottish Open and reached the last four of the Welsh Open in November and December respectively.

They will most likely be entrusted to win a point in the second doubles match when the Badminton Asia Team Champion-ships get underway in Shah Alam. Malaysia were drawn with the defending champions Japan and India in Group Y but it may not be as intimidated as it sounds as their two rivals will be represented by second-stringers.
