DAVOS, Jan 20 — Developing nations and emerging economies are facing the challenges of managing and mitigating risks arising from inflation, higher cost of living, energy crisis, climate change, debt, and geopolitical tensions.

Hence, when managing those challenges and risks, developing nations and economies need to be given enough time to do so. Tengku Zafrul, who led the Malaysian delegation to the WEF, went on to explain how in South-east Asia flooding has been happening more frequently and severely than before. Investments into developing economies during the pandemic were down by 70 per cent and 50 per cent during the financial crisis, he added.
