Temporary Covid hospital to be set up at Sg Udang jail

The Malacca government is setting up a temporary hospital at the Sg Udang Prison, in the event of a Covid-19 spike. It will be able to accommodate between 60 and 80 inmates. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, October 31, 2020.

A TEMPORARY hospital will be opened at the Sg Udang Prison in Malacca, in the event of a Covid-19 spike among inmates in the state. State health and anti-drug committee chairman Rahmad Mariman said the temporary hospital could accommodate between 60 and 80 inmates infected with the virus, especially those who were low-risk and involved in minor crimes.
