KOTA KINABALU: A secondary school teacher has lodged a police report over a viral video that seemed to insinuate one of its students had suffered injuries after being beaten up in a fight.
Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm Kasim Muda said that earlier at about 6.30am on Tuesday, the teacher was informed by a member of the public that a Form 3 student was found lying on the ground near the school in Tebobon, Manggatal near here.It was learned that the teacher subsequently found out about the video online.
Towards this end, ACP Kasim reminded the public not to simply upload any video clips online or make statements that could cause concern among the community, adding that people should verify their information with the authorities first.
