Taxi drivers seek more aid as Covid-19, MCO hammer industry

With few people out and about because of the MCO, taxi drivers have seen a massive drop in demand and earning. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 4, 2020.

TAXI companies and drivers are seeking government aid after racking up huge losses because of the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing movement-control order. Taxi drivers and companies have seen their earnings drop by about 90% in March, Gabungan Persatuan dan Syarikat Syarikat Teksi Semenanjung Malaysia , representing 100 companies said in a statement today.
