PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have to ace the midfield battle to beat Vietnam.

This is UiTM captain Victor Nirennold’s input ahead of Harimau Malaya’s tie against Vietnam in the Group G tie of the World Cup 2022-Asian Cup 2023 second-round qualifiers at the Al-Maktoum Stadium in Dubai tonight.

“Vietnam’s strength is in the midfield. They play like JDT and keep the ball well. They always try to progress by playing short passes, ” said the 30-year-old. “The team have improved and are more organised under coach Park . These players have known each other for many years, ” said Nirennold.“They, however, are not the greatest defensively and this is where we need to take advantage.

Nirennold named Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Van Toan as standout players but was quick to add that others were equally good.

Agreed 👏🏼👏🏼 who’s fighting for these gwp right to vaccines 🤷🏼‍♀️ i’m glad finally someone is fighting for them 👍🏼manavaksinsaya I hope the DAP, Amanah and PKR ppl have learned that it's easy to shoot all sorts of things from your hip when not in govt. When u r and ppl start asking y u didn't do these things u used to ask for, then don't go blaming things and ppl. Every day every MP is demanding for jab priority for all classes of people. These MPs find this act will gain popularity, rightly so. Suddenly all the criteria in the priority lists has gone haywire. Thanks to all these politicians!
