KABUL: Taliban dilaporkan menawan tiga lagi bandar di wilayah utara Afghanistan, ketika kumpulan itu berusaha menguasai sebahagian besar wilayah di negara ini.Ini bermakna lima bandar sudah jatuh ke tangan Taliban sejak Jumaat lalu, dengan Kunduz menjadi bandar terpenting kumpulan militan itu pada tahun ini.
Bandar Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul dan Taloqan ditawan dalam tempoh beberapa jam semalam, dengan seorang penduduk menggambarkan keadaan itu sebagai `kekacauan’.Seorang jurucakap kumpulan itu menerusi temubual dengan stesen televisyen Al Jazeera semalam memberi amaran terhadap campur tangan Amerika Syarikat di Afghanistan.Keganasan meningkat di seluruh Afghanistan selepas AS dan negara asing lain mula menarik keluar pasukan tenteranya dari negara tersebut setelah 20 tahun melakukan operasi ketenteraan.
