PUTRAJAYA: The Dewan Rakyat will reconvene on July 13, two months after its one-day meeting on May 18.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said Parliament would sit for 15 days.

"The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, whose attendance is confirmed, will be addressing the lawmakers, '" he said on Friday . "This includes the tabling of two Supplementary Supply Bills, the decoration on the appointment of the Opposition leader, the Parliamentary Select Committee and the motion to appoint the chairman and deputy chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

Takiyuddin said the Covid-19 pandemic had affected the earlier plan for the Dewan Rakyat to sit from May 18 to June 26.
