Musim haji telah bermula dengan ramai umat Islam tiba di tanah suci sejak Mei bagi menunaikan rukun Islam kelima itu.
Ketua Delegasi Haji Thailand, Abdul Baziz Chema, berkata masih tiada sebarang inisiatif sebegitu di Thailand untuk bakal tetamu Allah SWT ke tanah suci. Syarikat Swasta Uruskan Haji Jemaah Thailand Abdul Baziz berkata urusan haji di Thailand dikendalikan oleh sejumlah 88 buah syarikat swasta. Abdul Baziz bersama delegasi terdiri daripada pasukan perubatan dan media sosial seramai 30 orang telah bertemu dengan Ketua Rombongan Haji Malaysia, Datuk Seri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman dan kumpulan pengurusan TH di ibu pejabat TH Abraj Jenadriyah.

Menurutnya perbezaan yang ketara ini disebabkan oleh faktor ekonomi dengan kos mengerjakan haji bagi jemaah Thailand adalah sekitar RM40,000.
