PETALING JAYA: One of the two suspects who attempted to rob a food delivery rider in front of Phileo Damansara 2 here is expected to charged on Thursday (Aug 15).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the 33-year-old suspect, who was arrested last Saturday , will be charged under Section 393 of the Penal Code for attempted robbery and Section 324 of the same code for causing hurt.

“Investigations revealed the suspect has a prior record for theft and receiving stolen property, ” said ACP Mohd Zani.“Investigations revealed the two suspects met while they were incarcerated at Kajang Prison in 2010, ” he said.The one-minute 37-second video shows the delivery rider pulling into the entrance of the area followed by the two suspects on another motorcycle.

Moments later, the other suspect charges at the food delivery rider and pulls him away from his motorcycle, before attempting to ride off with the victim’s motorcycle.
