Survey: Over 70pc young Malaysian employees would consider leaving country for better job prospects

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 — A research by Employment Hero, a complete people, payroll and benefits solution for small to medium-sized businesses, has revealed that 72 per cent of young Malaysian employees are considering leaving the country for better employment opportunities.

Employment Hero co-founder and chief executive officer Ben Thompson said the pandemic has given talent many reasons to change direction in their careers or venture overseas as the world opens up. "This is a problem for local employers and should prompt many to reassess their policies, working culture and retention strategies,” he said in a statement, today.

That's good to hear. The younger gen are more sensible. All the best, as long as you work hard nothing is impossible.

MEF should take a more progressive stance to assist not just employers but also employees esp on minimum wage!As a HR practitioner for yrs,I always believe in balancing employers’ needs with employees’ wants! Not easy but doable when we focus on productivity!Time is running out!

Yes. Future is bleak here

chedetofficial ... All the policies you implemented and the leaders you selected has led to this... hope you're very happy...

Stupid Mentality. Especially for the young. Opportunities is Vast in Malaysia. Why go other Countries n become Second Class Citizen or Workers. Become employees is Slave. Create mentality of Becoming Business man. Even a Burger Tauke is better than a Manager in Someone Company.
