Surau, mosques in Johor allowed to hold breaking of fast events

Johor Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid says if mosques or surau attract more than 50 people for breaking fast, then they must provide packed meals. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 3, 2022.

TO further enliven the month of Ramadan in Johor, the state government has permitted breaking of fast events to be held at surau and mosques. State Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid said attendance would be limited to 50 people to dine in or around the building.
