SIBU: Component parties in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) have been told not to rock the spirit of unity and consensus over seat allocation in the coming state election.

Sarawak United People's Party president Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said on Monday that GPS needed consensus and unity to win state polls.

Dr Sim was responding to a statement by PDP chairman Teo Boon Siew that party president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing should be the Dudong candidate. Dr Sim also said he had held several meetings with GPS president Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Openg on SUPP candidates who would be contesting.
