Supermarkets, pharmacies can operate with full staff capacity

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi says supermarkets and pharmacies are among those that can operate with 100% staff capacity during the total lockdown. – The Malaysian Insight pic, May 31, 2021.

SUPERMARKETS, hypermarkets and department stores with operations limited to food and beverages and basic necessities, pharmacies or personal care stores, mini marts, grocery stores as well as restaurants in shopping malls are allowed to operate with full staff capacity during the full lockdown which begins tomorrow.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi said in a statement today that the standard operating procedure included limiting the number of customers allowed to be in the premises at any one time based on its size.
