Pertemuan ringkas berlaku ketika baginda berangkat ke pertunjukan Kuda Windsor bagi memenuhi jemputan khas Raja Bahrain Raja Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa.Pertemuan itu dimuat naik di laman Facebook rasmi Sultan Johor, hari ini.
Baginda yang berpengetahuan luas serta meminati sukan berkuda, adalah seorang pemain polo berpengalaman. Pada pertemuan itu, Sultan Ibrahim turut berkenan menemui anak ketiga Ratu Elizabeth II, Duke of York, Putera Andrew yang amat berminat untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai Johor. Sultan Johor menerangkan kepada Putera Andrew bahawa Johor pesat membangun di mana pelbagai sektor menjadi tunjang kekuatan ekonomi negeri termasuk sektor pertanian dan perindustrian selain menerima pelaburan utama dari syarikat berpangkalan di Britain.
Ini termasuk kehadiran beberapa institusi pendidikan berprestij serta sekolah antarabangsa dari Britain yang melebarkan sayap ke Johor.
