PETALING JAYA: A Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) emergency response team has closed off traffic at the site where a crane fell on Monday (March 22) morning.

Projek Lintasan Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Sdn. Bhd said this was done to facilitate efforts to rescue the victims in the incident.

“The preliminary investigation shows that three construction workers, who are Chinese nationals, have died and one road user has been injured in the incident," it added in a statement. This is the second incident involving the SUKE this year, as five people were trapped in a factory van travelling on the MRR2 Highway near Bandar Tasik Selatan on March 3 when a portion of a bridge under construction fell on it at around 5.58pm after it was hit by a trailer carrying heavy machinery.
