Subang diner owner asks for leniency on RM10,000 fine

The owner of Subang-based restaurant Rata, who was slapped with a RM10,000 fine for operating past mandated hours, hopes the authorities will show leniency as food businesses are struggling to survive during the lockdown. – Facebook pic, June 27, 2021.

A RESTAURANT owner in Subang Jaya, Selangor is hoping to get some reprieve from the authorities for breaching the 8pm closing time for food outlets. Rata restaurant owner and chef T. Vicneswara, 29, told The Malaysian Insight that he was slapped with a RM10,000 fine on Friday night. Effective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription.
