GPA, which is a student coalition, highlighted that the Federal Constitution's Article 10 provides for freedom of speech for all Malaysians. In voicing support for Wong's actions, GPA said the actions of four universities including UM in organising the Malay Dignity Congress allegedly showed a major “literacy problem” in the country's education system.

The coalition also urged all university students to turn their focus back to UM vice-chancellor's actions, instead of Wong's actions which it said was merely a medium to bring across his message. Slamming Wong's actions, UM said the protest was in breach of protocol and ceremony and had tarnished the university's name.

LowElsielow Brave heart.

'Slamming Wong's actions, UM said the protest was in breach of protocol and ceremony and had tarnished the university's name.' Why has UM not slammed the VC's action for having tarnished the university's name as well?

Who is PMUM to get UM to retract the degree? They should instead demand the VC to retract his racist slur. He is not fit to lead an institution that calls for integrity and impartiality.

He was teaching us all that continuing producing 'yes sir' generation is not an option. The generation who only sit quietly, listen, nod their head, agree and follow blindly are dangerous. They breed like rabbits, they think like sheep but act like wolves

Pelik student ni, kata sokong freedom of speech, dh tu biar la VC tu nk cakap ape pun. Knp nk condemn dia plak? Its two sided. Both sides ada hak utk freedom of speech, cannot be just for you.
