NSTopinion We do need to impose stricter measures such as imposing a deterrent fine on people who continue to defy advice. Covid19 Coronavirus MCO MovementControlOrder JustStayAtHome DudukRumah

These people make the efforts of the majority futile as shown by the number of new cases that continue to rise.

The next best move for us is to take strict action as done by authorities in Wuhan, China. I, nevertheless, am not advocating violent measures that was apparently done over there. However, we do need to impose stricter measures such as imposing a deterrent fine on people who continue to defy advice. Just advising does not work with such people and unless stricter measures are taken, the number of new Covid-19 will continue to rise.

Therefore, as we begin the second phase of the Movement Control Order, I urge the authorities concerned to consider more aggressive measures and implementation to ensure the success of the second phase.
