Anwar also said that the decision to require preachers to be accredited before being allowed to give ceramah at mosques and surau was not under the government's purview."It's not that we banned them , they can talk about politics but politics as a system, not with the intention to create chaos," he said.
The Prime Minister also took time talking and greeting guests of the Malaysia Madani Santunan Ramadan programme, which was also attended by state government representatives, tahfiz schoolchildren, orphans and locals. After breaking fast, Anwar joined the congregation for prayers with the community from nearby villages in Sementa here.
