From rudimentary computation machines to personal assistants, technology has always been there to make our lives easier. It is a constantly evolving medium,

taking on various different forms to help us with our problems. Recently, AI has been making waves across the digital landscape, with Samsung leading the charge in creating a more connected world.

With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and its Galaxy AI feature, users have experienced a new way of staying connected. One ingenious yet overlooked function in the Galaxy AI’s arsenal is its “Live Translate” feature, a powerful tool that can break barriers and help build relations across vast distances.Live Translate is a particular feature that translates phone calls in real-time directly on your device.

Capable of translating up to 17 languages including variations, you can easily converse with people from around the globe. Discuss plans with people all the way from Korea to Spain, as well as understand languages that are as complicated as Polish or German. And with more languages to come in the future, you’ll be able to keep in touch with various important clients without even trying. But before anything else, you must first enable the feature in your device's settings.

From this window, you can set your language in the “Me” section and the other person’s language in the “Other person” section. Furthermore, you can also adjust the tone, type and speed of your AI voice, as well as easily add preset languages for your contacts. When making or receiving a call, you can tap the “Call assist” button, then select “Live Translate”. When the call begins, “Live Translate” starts as well, though keep in mind that this only works with Samsung’s Phone app.
