KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 — Malaysia’s Industrial Production Index fell by 5.2 per cent year-on-year in July 2021, its first decline since November 2020, said the Department of Statistics Malaysia .

“The main subsectors contributed to the downturn in the manufacturing sector in July 2021 were transport equipment and other manufacturing , non-metallic mineral products, basic metal and fabricated metal products , and wood products, furniture, paper products and printing .
