The Rural Development Minister said the allocation was for allowance payments to the council chairmen and secretaries in Terengganu, Kelantan, Pahang, Perlis and Sarawak.
“A total of 8,587 MPKKP have been set up, involving a total membership of 111,631 people in the five states.“The allowance for the chairmen is RM500 while RM300 is for the secretaries. “We hope that the elected MPKKP members will be able to disseminate and provide clearer information on government policies, especially on the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030,” she said after presenting appointment letters to Terengganu MPKKP members here yesterday.
Rina said RM50mil had also been allocated to be given out as grants for the implementation of activities and programmes in the villages. — Bernama
