St Raphael Chinese Community from St Ann's Parish, with Sr Ursula and the donations they brought, 1 April 2023.On April 1 2023, St Raphael the Chinese community from St Ann’s Parish, organised a trip to the Home of Peace. About 10 parishioners including two children, arrived at the Home of Peace in the afternoon at 1.30 pm.

Upon their arrival, they were brought to the hall where the residents had assembled and were waiting. Shortly after, Sr Ursula gave them a warm welcome and short talk. She also mentioned about the background of the Home of Peace’s residents and explained that they rely on donations for day-to-day activities.

Afterwards, some of the parishioners and children took a tour around the facilities to get an idea of the daily routine in Home of Peace. Meanwhile, the others spent their time interacting with the residents, sharing stories about their lives and got along with each other. It was a great experience for both parties to see each other’s lives from a different perspective. After the interaction, they took a short break and had light refreshments while connecting with the residents there.

About half an hour later, they continued with their donation agenda whereby the parishioners of St Ann donated wheelchairs, rice, dry food, laundry needs, etc. in the hope that this act of charity could bring happiness and ease the burdens of the Home of Peace residents in one way or another.
