Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali menetapkan tarikh itu selepas mendengar hujahan dikemukakan pihak pendakwaan dan pembelaan pada akhir kes pembelaan selama lima hari sejak Isnin.
"Saya mahu menyampaikan keputusan muktamad saya terhadap tujuh pertuduhan itu pada bulan depan, pada 28 Julai, 10 pagi," katanya. Najib, yang menjadi perdana menteri keenam dari 2009 hingga 2018, ialah ketua negara Malaysia yang pertama dihadapkan ke mahkamah. Dalam perbicaraan itu, pihak pendakwaan mengemukakan lebih 750 eksibit atau barang kes termasuk dokumen bank berkaitan akaun bank Najib, dokumen transaksi tunai, minit mesyuarat dan perbualan di Blackberry Messenger berhubung transaksi akaun Najib.
