SPM 2021 results: 30 students in Johor score straight A+'sNor Zamani said a lower number means a better score when announcing the results for SPM 2021 on Thursday .She said a comparison between the number of straight As and GPN between SPM 2021 and the previous year will not be fair as the SPM 2021 candidates are the first cohort of students who sat for the SPM exam using the new Standard-Based Curriculum for Secondary Schools and exam format.
“The ministry does not want to compare because it has been challenging for the candidates to sit for the exams amid the Coid-19 pandemic.Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin said this cohort of SPM students were affected the most by the Covid-19 pandemic for two years while they were in Forms Four and Five.“This is why we pushed for them to return to schools as early as possible.
“Overall, the SPM 2021 results were good and what’s important now is to analyse the results in more detail to identify if there are specific factors that drove the results for certain subjects,” he said after visiting SMK Putrajaya Presint 18 in conjunction with the release of the SPM 2021 results on Thursday .
The SPM 2021 written exam ran from March 2 to March 29 with a total of 407,097 candidates registered for the exams.or via short message service , where candidates can check by typing SPMMyKad NumberRoll Number and SMS to 15888, from 10am onwards.
