PETALING JAYA: The Statistic Department is conducting a special online survey to study the effects of Covid-19 on Malaysians and the economy.

The first round of the special survey will be from now until March 31, and is open to all Malaysians aged 15 and above.

The Department said that information compiled through the survey is confidential as stipulated under the Statistics Act 1965. Chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the first round of the special survey consists of 21 questions that comprise three modules."The findings of the survey will be used as an input for the government to gauge the spread of the Covid-19 on the economy, employment and expenditure of Malaysians," said Mohd Uzir in a statement on Monday .
