The 28-year-old independent shuttler went the distance to shock the world No. 6 Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand in the opening game before losing 21-19, 18-21, 10-21 in 62 minutes.For both, it was their first and only match in Group N as the other member Laura Sarosi from Hungary had withdrawn due to injury.

With the win on Wednesday, Ratchanok reached the last 16 by virtue of being the Group N champion and will face off against Gregoria Mariska of Indonesia for a place in the quarter-finals next.
