Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force officer Captain Aziana Hizazi said heavy rain on Thursday evening is believed to be the cause of the soil erosion.
She said Kuala Lumpur City Hall received news of the erosion yesterday, and immediately instructed the residents to vacate their flat units as they investigate the incident. The 62 residents, from 15 families, are currently at the Jalan Hamzah Multipurpose Hall, near here, Aziana added.
