ISKANDAR PUTERI: The weekly Johor state executive councillors' meeting proceeded without the much-anticipated subject of snap polls being brought up, according to two exco members.

State Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi said the meeting chaired by Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad at Bangunan Dato’ Jaafar Muhammad had gone smoothly.

“Nothing unusual happened at today's meeting, which went on like normal. We discussed government matters and nothing else. State women, family and community development committee chairman Zaiton Ismail, too, said no issues pertaining to snap polls were raised at the meeting, which lasted about six hours.

“There were no problems raised during the meeting and every exco member just focused on their respective portfolios to make sure that the government runs smoothly,” she said.
