PETALING JAYA: Sabah midfielder Irfan Fazail, despite his team’s 1-0 cushion over Kuching City, has reminded his teammates that they can’t take it easy against Kuching City in the return leg of the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals in Kota Kinabalu today.

Premier League outfit Kuching, who defeated Super League side Penang in the last 16, gave Sabah a run for their money at the State Stadium on Nov 5.

“However, I do believe that the home-ground advantage will give us the edge and boost our players’ confidence,” said the 31-year-old Irfan.“Their presence will be a big factor in helping us overcome Kuching City and advance to the semi-finals.The former Harimau Muda player has also been given a new lease of life by Sabah coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee after injuries had reduced the player’s chances of seeing regular action.
