Six telcos compounded RM700,000

THE Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has issued 15 compounds totalling RM700,000 against six telecommunication companies for registering prepaid SIM cards without verifying the users’ information in 2019.

In a statement issued today, the MCMC said U Mobile Sdn Bhd was issued with five compounds valued at RM250,000, followed by Celcom Axiata Berhad and Tune Talk Sdn Bhd , Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd , YTL Communication Sdn Bhd and Tone Plus Sdn Bhd .
