November 20, 2019 11:45 AMKUALA LUMPUR: The High Court in Najib Razak’s 1MDB audit report trial here today heard a two-hour recording of a meeting between former auditor-general Ambrin Buang and former 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy, in which Ambrin spoke of “significant discrepancies” in the sovereign fund’s account.
“1MDB and SRC International are MoF Inc companies, and we look at the accounts every year,” he said, referring to the Minister of Finance Incorporated.Ambrin’s voice was identified by former chief secretary to the government Ali Hamsa, who is testifying in the trial. Ali also said Ambrin had chaired the meeting in his office.
