The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered a former Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer to pay RM820,000 to 2 Mongolian women for subjecting them to 'sexual

The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered a former Royal Malaysia Police officer to pay RM820,000 to 2 Mongolian women for subjecting them to ‘sexual intercourse without consent‘ in 2 hotel rooms during the Covid-19 lockdowns 4 years ago.

According to a report by BERNAMA, the judge made the decision after finding that the 2 Mongolian women as plaintiffs were successful in proving their case on the balance of probabilities against the 34-year-old former police officer. “After considering the testimony of witnesses and arguments that are not disputed and not challenged, I find that the plaintiffs have proven that the defendant has intercourse without consent with both plaintiffs, at least 6 times with 1 of the women and twice with the other woman,” the judge said.

With that, the court awarded one of the women a total of RM460,000 in damages including RM260,000 in general damages for the offense of causing injury , sexual harassment and false imprisonment as well as RM200,000 in aggravated damaged and exemplary. The other woman was awarded damages of RM360,000, which includes RM160,000 as general damages for the offense of causing injury and for false imprisonment as well as RM200,000 for aggravated and exemplary damages. This all comes after both plaintiffs were apparently detained at a roadblock in Petaling Jaya on April 10, 2020, before being taken to a police tent.
