GEORGE TOWN: Penang Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Wan Salim Wan Mohd Noor has urged the authorities set controls and establish certain guidelines for art and cultural activities held in the country.

"Those who are dazzled by Western civilisation often try to inject foreign culture among the people of this country, with the younger generation being the main target. Last week, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Idris Ahmad opined that concerts that were deemed detrimental should not be held in the country, because if such unrestricted forms of entertainment became a culture, it would spoil the next generation.
