KUALA LUMPUR: The seminar on Cybercrime and Substance Abuse Consciousness is the best platform to exchange information on the latest security challenges, says Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf .

The Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director said he also shared cybercrime statistics, which showed an increase each year."The seminar, which was aired live on the Royal Malaysia Police Facebook page, could be a reference for society," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Defence Services Asia and National Security Asia 2024 on Tuesday .

Comm Ramli said through such a seminar, the police hoped that it would create more awareness of the state of technology-based commercial crime.As of April 28, an average of 85 commercial crimes per day were recorded this year.
